Agrobank Sumbang 40 Unit Komputer Kepada Sk Bario Yang Terjejas Akibat Kebakaran

MIRI, SARAWAK – Agrobank contributed 40 units of computer and RM15,000 to SK Bario in Sarawak. The presentation ceremony was held at Miri in conjunction with the launch of ‘Skuad Sayang’ and Leadership Seminar organized by Pergerakan Wanita Mulu.

A donation of computers to students of SK Bario is one of Agrobank Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives to recover from a fire incidents last month. The fire burnt down two (2) blocks of school building, including seven (7) classrooms and a computer lab. The fire has affected the students, especially standard 6 pupils who were seated for the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) at that time.

According to the President/ Chief Executive of Agrobank, Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi Wan Othman. The district of Bario is part of Agrobank’s community programme and the bank is always concerned with the needs of the residents in Bario.

“In Bario, there are only two schools and when one of the schools was destructed by fire, it certainly brings profound impact on the residents and students. Therefore, we hope with this little help from Agrobank will assist the process of rebuilding this school,” said Dato ‘Wan Mohd Fadzmi

The contribution was presented by Agrobank Sarawak Regional Manager, Encik Mohamad Jamani Doria to Mulu Assemblyman, YB Dato’ Gerawat Gala.
