Agrobank Extends RM30,000 Financial Assistance To Benefit 200 Primary School Students
KUALA LUMPUR, 5 MARCH 2024 – Agrobank handed over RM30,000 in financial assistance to support 200 primary school students in preparing for the upcoming 2024/2025 school session. The momentous ceremony was officiated by YB Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad Sabu, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security earlier today.
Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin, President/Chief Executive Officer of Agrobank, emphasised the significance of this initiative, stating, “In conjunction with the start of the school session, this assistance aims to alleviate the financial burden on parents especially from the B40 group by enabling them to make early preparations for their children’s school year. This effort aligns with our responsibility in providing access to education for the underprivileged community.”
During the ceremony, students and parents were not only provided with financial aid but also gained exposure to financial management through the Program Celik Wang. This financial literacy program aims to inculcate knowledge of prudent spending, fostering a generation literate in making wise financial decisions.
In addition to receiving monetary aid, the students had also received school bags, stationaries and water bottles. A total of 200 parents joined the celebration, underscoring the community impact of Agrobank’s commitment to education.
