Post Moratorium: All Agrobank Branches to Hold Open Days on 19 and 23 September 2020

KUALA LUMPUR – Agrobank is holding open days at all its 136 branches nationwide* on Saturday, 19 September and Wednesday, 23 September to assist customers who require further assistance with their financing repayments as the six-month moratorium period comes to an end on September 30.

According to Khadijah Iskandar, Covering President / Chief Executive Officer of Agrobank, said affected customers are encouraged to take this opportunity to approach the bank and be considered for assistance or relief for their personal or business circumstances.

“The cessation of the industry-wide six-month auto-moratorium on Sept 30 does not in any way reduce the bank’s commitment to our customers, as we are all in this for the long term.”

“Therefore, on these open days, we are encouraging our customers to walk in at any of our branches nationwide, to have a face to face discussion to better understand the payment assistance options, to help them through this recovery period of the COVID-19,” said Khadijah.

Khadijah added, “Our customers matter to us and Agrobank has always stood by our customers over the years and we will continue to do what is right by them in today’s challenging times to ensure their financial needs are supported through and beyond this crisis.”

The open day will be held from 10 am to 3 pm with the aim to provide assistance and enable the customers to defer their financing repayments, request for reduced instalments or restructure their financing for a certain period, on a case by case basis.

Besides that, Agrobank has also been proactively engaging with its customers to understand their financial situation better after the moratorium period ends and also to formulate solutions to address the challenges that they are facing through a various series of business coaching, Klinik Bisnes, webinar sessions and some other initiatives from March to September 2020.
