Agrobank Announces Voluntary Separation Scheme For Employees

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 17 — Agrobank today announced that they have offered employees a Voluntary Separation Scheme (“VSS”) as part of the Bank’s move to strengthen its operational efficiency.

According to Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi Wan Othman, President/CEO of Agrobank the exercise is purely voluntary.  “The VSS is being offered to all permanent staffs at all levels, functions and locations on voluntary basis, and will create an opportunity for both the Bank and employees to gain mutual benefits.  This initiative is part of the Bank’s continuous review of business and efforts to enhance efficiency,” said Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi.

“We are committed to conducting this exercise with care and empathy by offering terms and conditions which we believe are fair and attractive to our employees.  During this transition period, we will ensure that our customers’ needs are being taken care of as always,” Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi added further.

The VSS is offered strictly on a voluntary basis and all applications are expected to be submitted by 2 Dec 2015.  Employees who are successful in their application will receive packages based on grade and years of service since Agrobank’s corporatisation in 2008.

The relevant authorities and the unions have been duly informed of this exercise.
