PACKAGE – AGRO HALAL

For Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs)

Agrobank offers the AGRO HALAL Financing Package to support entrepreneurs in developing or improving their businesses in line with the requirements of the Malaysia Halal Certification.

Skim This scheme covers ;-

  • The selection of raw materials that comply with halal standards
  • Modifications to kitchens or business premises to ensure optimal cleanliness and safety.
  • Other improvements that support the halal certification process

To make it easier for entrepreneurs, Agrobank also provides comprehensive guidance and training to help them successfully obtain the Malaysia Halal Certification.

Agro-Halal Package Offers:

  • Financing up to RM5,000,000 with a profit rate as low as 3.75% per annum (*Subject to funding source and funds availability).
  • Consultation, guidance, documentation, and assistance for halal certification applications, specifically for the cottage industry.
  • A comprehensive halal awareness and certification training for company staff.
  • Monitoring and entrepreneurship guidance over a period of 6 months.

Structured Training and Guidance

  • Entrepreneurs receive full support and comprehensive guidance to successfully obtain the Malaysia Halal Certification from JAKIM.

Added Value on Product and Business Premise

  • Adds significant value for food business operators and producers of food and beverages, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals by helping them meet recognized halal standards.

Access to the Global Halal Market

  • With Malaysia Halal Certification, entrepreneurs have the opportunity to expand into both local and international halal markets, thereby increasing product visibility and potential income.

Financial support is provided through the following financing programs;

Microenterprise Special Relief Program
(“MRP 2.0”)

(For financing amounts up to RM100,000)

Financing Amount:

  • Minimum : RM1,000

  • Maximum: RM100,000

Facility Tenure:

  • Up to 7 years (84 months)

Profit Rate:

  • As low as 4.75% p.a calculated on monthly balance

Collateral:

  • Not required

Madani Economic Reform Financing Program (“PRIMA”)

(For financing amounts up to RM5,000,000)

Financing Amount:

  • Minimum : RM100,000

  • Maximum: RM5,000,000

Facility Tenure:

  • Up to 10 years

Profit Rate:

  • As low as 3.75% p.a (Subject to profit rate and availability funds)

Collateral:

  • Not required

 

Application Requirements

Microenterprise Special Relief Program
(“MRP 2.0”)
  • Applicant must be 21 years old (at the time of application) and up to 70 years old (at the time of financing expiry)
  • Company registered with SSM
  • Company that is not bankrupt
  • Companies that have been operating for at least 12 months.
Madani Economic Reform Financing Program (“PRIMA”)
  • Sole proprietorship or partnership or limited liability partnership or Sdn Bhd (at least 51% of shares controlled by Malaysian citizens).
  • Applicants must be between 21 years old (during application) and up to 60 years old (at the time of expiry of the financing period).

 

Required documents

Self-Employed

  • Completed financing facility application form.
  • Copies of the applicant's and co-applicant's identity cards (for joint applications, if applicable).
  • Bank savings account statement or business sales record for the most recent twelve (12) months.
  • Copy of business registration or business license for businesses involving fixed premises.
  • Any income documents accepted by the bank for the purpose of proving the source of income.
Private Limited Company (Sdn Bhd)
  • Latest audited financial statements.
  • Summary of bank current account statements for the latest 6 months
  • Latest annual income declaration form to the Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) (Ex: Form B / J / P); OR
  • Management account for the latest year.
  • Other relevant documents (If necessary)
Sole Proprietorship / Partnership / Limited Liability Partnership
  • Latest annual income declaration form to Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) (Ex: Form B / J / P);
  • Summary of bank current account statements for the latest 6 months
  • Management account for the latest year
  • Latest audited financial statements
  • Other relevant documents (If necessary)
