Agrobank Supports Solidarity Initiatives for Palestine, but Firmly Rejects the Misuse of Corporate Identity

Agrobank urges the public to exercise caution when uploading or sharing any content on social media that may be misleading or misinterpreted. While the Pelayaran Solidariti Kelantan was intended to demonstrate support for the Palestinian cause, video footage circulated on social media has caused confusion and has been misinterpreted by the public.

The boat featured in the video was used in Agrobank’s promotional initiative; however, the participation in the solidarity event was carried out without the Bank’s knowledge.

Agrobank also regrets the actions of certain parties on social media who have caused misunderstanding regarding the Bank’s image by sharing inaccurate and misleading content. As an Islamic financial institution, Agrobank upholds the principles of Islam that reject the dissemination of false or unverified information, and encourages ethical communication grounded in honesty and integrity.

The Bank wishes to emphasise that it was neither directly nor indirectly involved in the production, performance or dissemination of the said video. The viral content does not reflect Agrobank’s official position, values or corporate identity.

Agrobank greatly appreciates the spirit of solidarity shown by Malaysians in support of the Palestinian cause and welcomes community initiatives to express support for this global humanitarian issue in a respectful and sensitive manner.

In this regard, Agrobank urges individuals or parties who have uploaded the video to remove it immediately to avoid further confusion and misinterpretation of Agrobank’s corporate image.

Agrobank will also take necessary measures to ensure that the Bank’s name, logo and corporate identity are not misused in any context that could harm the Bank’s reputation or cause public misunderstanding.
