Agrobank collaborates with University College of Agroscience Malaysia (UCAM) to strengthen agricultural industries



KUALA LUMPUR – Agrobank today has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with University College of Agroscience Malaysia or also known as UCAM. This strategic memorandum aims to create a ‘cashless campus’ as well as to encourage the young people with expertise and technical knowledge to involved in agricultural industry.

Through this strategic collaboration, Agrobank offers cash management solution to UCAM students through an e-campus platform that indicates to cashless cash transaction concepts by using the multi-functional smart cards that include debit card features and UCAM student / staff ID card

These multi-functional smart cards can be used not only for withdrawing cash from ATM’s but also for all payment transactions including student tuition fees, loan repayments, electricity bill payments, food bill payment at the café and various other services that can be used everywhere.

Apart from that, Agrobank also offers human capital development programs to UCAM students to empower the agricultural industry by providing facilities for students to enhance their knowledge on the agricultural industry through various programs offered by the bank.

According to Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal, Chairman of Agrobank, as a bank that is concerned and sensitive to the needs of the agricultural community, Agrobank has always been committed in creating young talent who is capable in producing new ideas for the development of the agricultural industry.

“We are concerned about the interests of young generation and through this collaboration Agrobank also offers opportunities to UCAM’s outstanding students to be part of Agrobank by experiencing industrial training in selected departments at Agrobank, such as the Corporate Strategic Planning Department, Economics and Industrial Research Department, the Business Department and other related departments.”

Agrobank has previously collaborated with other local higher education institutions including Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and SEGI University College.
