Agrobank launches Agro Mabrur-i Takaful Card MAHA 2018 Edition
SERDANG, SELANGOR – In conjunction with Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA 2018), Agrobank today launches a special edition MAHA 2018 takaful protection card known as Takaful Agro Mabrur-i-MAHA 2018 edition. The card was launched by YB Dato’ Haji Salahuddin Ayub, Minister of Agriculture & Agro-Based Industry at the end of a special media tour for MAHA 2018.
Agro Mabrur-i is a comprehensive takaful protection plan that offers benefits such as badal hajj benefit amounting RM3,500 of which upon the death or permanent total disability of the participant during the coverage period, the benefit will be paid to the badal hajj nominee to perform hajj on behalf of the participant. As for Non-Muslim, Badal Hajj and Cash Waqaf benefits can be converted into cash benefits.
According to Tuan Syed Alwi Mohamed Sultan, President/Chief Executive Officer of Agrobank, the Takaful Agro Mabrur-i is part of our initiative to assist the unserved and underserved community whereby with a minimum payment of only RM75 a year will provide a protection coverage up to RM44,000.
“Since the launching of Takaful Agro Mabrur-i on 19 April 2016, it has been subscribed by more than 3,500 participants with total coverage amounting over RM164.8 million. This product has been identified as the “Perlindungan Tenang” category due to its affordability, easy to subscribe via Agrobank branches and attractive features under Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) programme,” explained Tuan Syed Alwi.
By purchasing the card at MAHA 2018 and subscribe to any other Agrobank’s services at the bank’s booth in MAHA 2018, customers can participate in the current “Kita-kita Aje” campaign.
