Agrobank Performs Ibadah Qurban, Bringing Joy To Communities Nationwide During Eid Ul Adha

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 JUNE 2024 – Agrobank allocated over RM75,000 for the ibadah Qurban during this year’s Eid ul Adha as part of the Agrobank Korban Perdana 2024 programme, spreading joy in local communities by distributing qurban meat through its regional offices nationwide.

Agrobank’s President/CEO, Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin, highlighted the unique aspects of this year’s Korban Perdana 2024 program, stating, “This year’s program differs slightly from previous years, especially at our Tanjung Karang branch where Agrobank’s management actively contributed and participated in the event, culminating in the sacrificial slaughter of two cows. Our involvement underscores Agrobank’s commitment to engaging with local communities in a personal and meaningful manner while honouring the significance of sacrifice and unity inherent in this celebration. We aim to continue this tradition and deepen our connection with the communities we serve.”

Preparations for the slaughtering activity began at 8:00 AM, followed by the cutting and distribution of the qurban meat to the local community.

“At the heart of Agrobank’s annual traditions lies our dedication to celebrating Eid ul Adha with compassion and unity, spreading blessings and supporting those in need especially the minority groups and rural communities. Agrobank’s Korban Perdana 2024 programme underscores our deep commitment to addressing community needs, and we remain steadfast in promoting their sustainable development and well-being through our ongoing CSR initiatives,” he emphasised.
