Agrobank Organises Knowledge Sharing Programme For Northern Region Clients



SEBERANG JAYA, P.PINANG – Agrobank today continues its business networking session known as “Agenda Agro: Prospects and Opportunities in Agricultural Sector” in Seberang Jaya, Pulau Pinang. The event was attended by more than 100 Agrobank’s clients based in Pulau Pinang, Kedah and Perlis (PPKP).

Pulau Pinang was the sixth location chosen for Agenda Agro after Perlis, Pahang, Sarawak, Johor and Perak. The programme which was introduced last year with the aim to provides latest information and updates on the prospects and opportunities in agricultural sector. This programme also provides latest updates on government policies as part of initiatives to help entrepreneurs in improving their income and socio-economy standards.

According to Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi, President/ Chief Executive Officer of Agrobank, the knowledge sharing programme could assist the clients to see the overview of agriculture development and trends particularly opportunities in the region of Pulau Pinang, Kedah and Perlis.

“Agrobank is committed in providing excellent services to our customers and this is demonstrated in Bank excellent performance. On the third quarter of year 2016, Agrobank has recorded the highest total financial value of RM8.44 billion which also recorded growth up to 13.40% compared to 3.3% growth recorded in the same period last year. Agrobank’s performance in the region Pulau Pinang, Kedah and Perlis have contributed RM1.04 billion or 12.34% of RM8.44 billion of Agrobank total financing value,” said Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi.

Dato’ Wan Mohd Fadzmi added, PPKP regions also recorded excellent performance in deposits segment. As at September 2016, the northern regions recorded growth in total deposits which is RM850.91 million compared to performance recorded on the same period last year, RM793.95 million.

At the event, Agrobank also presents certificates of appreciation to top five (5) AGROAgents (banking agents) who recorded the best performance in northern region. The top 5 are selected based on the highest volume of transaction done for the first half of the year 2016. Details as per below:

Currently, Agrobank has appointed 435 AGROAgents nationwide.In conjuction of Agenda Agro Pulau Pinang, Agrobank also presents a certificates of appreciation to top three (3) *AGRONetBIZ users from PPKP regions.
