DATUK DR. AHMAD KUSHAIRI BIN DIN

Independent Non-Executive Director

DATUK DR. AHMAD KUSHAIRI BIN DIN was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Agrobank on 17 November 2020.He holds a Bachelor degree in Agricultural Science (Agronomy) from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1985 and graduated with Master of Science (Genetics) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1992 and Master of Science (Agronomy) from Louisiana State University, USA in 1995. He obtained his Doctoral of Philosophy (PhD) in Genetics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1998.

Datuk Dr. Kushairi served the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (“MPOB”) since its establishment in 1979 until he retired as Director-General in 2019. He had vast experiences, skills and knowledge, which amongst others are in management of organisation, oil palm breeding, quantitative genetics, seed production, plantation management and management of research. Datuk Dr. Kushairi received numerous awards and honours from MPOB, national and international organisations including Gold Medal Research Award, Director General’s Science Excellence Challenge Trophy, Best Publication Award and Innovation Award. As a subject matter expert, he provided consultancy in oil palm breeding, seed production and ortet selection.

 

 

 

ENCIK MOHD HANIF BIN MASTUKI

Non-Independent Non-Executive Director

ENCIK MOHD HANIF BIN MASTUKI was appointed as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Agrobank on 13 July 2022.

He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from National Institute of Public Administration. He also holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons.) and Diploma in Accounting from Universiti Teknologi MARA. Encik Mohd Hanif obtained his Master of Economics (Public Economy) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in year 2015.

Encik Mohd Hanif began his career in year 2001 as the Internal Audit Executive/Corporate Planning Executive for Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd. In year 2004, Encik Mohd Hanif joined Administrative and Diplomatic Service in Budget Management Division, Ministry of Finance (“MOF”) as Assistant Budget Review Officer (Policy) and subsequently as Budget Review Officer (Health) from the year 2004 until 2008. Encik Mohd Hanif was also appointed as Budget Review Officer (Human Resource, Youth & Sports) until year 2011. Later, he was appointed as the Principal Assistance Secretary (Human Resource) of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Principal Assistant Director of National Entrepreneur Development Office and Principal Assistant Secretary (Government Strategy) of Fiscal Policy Office, Fiscal and Economics Division, MOF from year 2011 until 2019. He was also the Board member of Lembaga Perumahan Melaka in 2019.

Presently, he is the Unit Head (Technology), Government Investment Companies Division of MOF who is responsible to oversee shareholder and corporate matters of Ministry of Finance (Incorporated) technology companies and also the Director of Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd.

 

 

 

PUAN RIZLEEN BINTI MOKHTAR

Independent Non-Executive Director

PUAN RIZLEEN BINTI MOKHTAR was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Agrobank on 1 August 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) with High Honors in Economics from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.

Puan Rizleen began her career with then Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank Berhad (AMMB) as an Executive Trainee in year 1989, rising to the rank of Associate Director, Corporate Banking. In 2000, she moved to a credit role within Corporate & Institutional Banking, AMMB until 2008 when the credit risk function was centralized at group level under AmBank (M) Berhad and she was redesignated as Director, Group Credit Risk. In 2012, Puan Rizleen was appointed as the Head, Group Credit Risk and later as the Executive Vice President/Head, Wholesale Credit Risk, Group Risk Management. She left the AmBank Group in January 2021.

Puan Rizleen received her Chartered Banker accreditation from Chartered Banker Institute, Edinburgh/Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) in year 2019. She is currently a member of AICB’s Certificate of Financial Services and Credit Examination Committee.

 

 

 

ENCIK WAN ZAMRI BIN WAN ZAIN

Independent Non-Executive Director

ENCIK WAN ZAMRI BIN WAN ZAIN was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Agrobank on 2 February 2023.

Encik Wan Zamri holds a Bachelor degree in Finance and Business Economics from the Southern Illinois University, United States of America (“USA”) and graduated with Master of Business Administration (Financial Management and Management Information System) from West Coast University, Los Angeles, USA.

Encik Wan Zamri began his career with HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad (“HSBC Malaysia”) in year 1985 as the Operation Officer at Sungai Petani Branch and subsequently, he held various executive management roles in HSBC Malaysia and HSBC Hong Kong including his last position as Head of Group Business, HSBC Amanah Takaful Malaysia Sdn Bhd from February 2008 until April 2008. In May 2008, Encik Wan Zamri joined AIA Takaful International Bhd as the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) until April 2011 and subsequently, he joined AmMetLife Takaful Bhd as CEO from May 2011 until May 2015.

Encik Wan Zamri has also served as an Independent Director of Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Bhd from 2017 until 2019 and Zurich General Insurance Malaysia Berhad from 2018 until 2019. Presently, he is the Managing Partner Sprint Milestone Sdn Bhd and an independent director of DynaFront Holdings Berhad.

 

 

 

ENCIK MOHAMED IQBAL BIN MOHAMED IQBAL

Independent Non-Executive Director

ENCIK MOHAMED IQBAL BIN MOHAMED IQBAL was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Agrobank on 2 February 2023.

En. Iqbal holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Science and Computer Systems from Oklahoma State University, United States of America. He is a Qualified Risk Director accredited by the Institute of Enterprise Risk Practitioners (IERP), a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) with Sustainability and Climate Risk certification, and attended The University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Leadership Development Program. He also holds a Certificate in Developmental Coaching from The Interdevelopmental Institute, USA (IDM).

En. Iqbal enjoyed a successful thirty-five-year career in banking and finance, serving several prominent organizations, namely, Maybank, the AmBank Group, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Berhad, and Warba Bank K.S.C.P. in Kuwait. His last corporate position was that of Chief Officer, Treasury at Warba Bank.

En. Iqbal possess deep understanding and expert skill in the areas of treasury, investments and capital markets; risk management; international banking; commercial and consumer banking; credit management; and business strategy and transformation. Amongst his functional responsibilities were regulatory engagement, new business line establishment, sustainability, technology, and people management. En. Iqbal was at the forefront of navigating the institutions he served through three major economic and financial crises in 1997-98, 2008-09, and 2020-21.

Encik Iqbal was a Board member of KFH (Australia) Ltd, KFH (Singapore) Ltd, KFH (Labuan) Berhad, KFH Ijarah House (M) Sdn. Bhd. Presently, he holds several directorships in private entities Baitak Kaseh Sdn. Bhd., Ansur Makmur Sdn. Bhd. and Serene Palms Sdn. Bhd.

 

 

 

DATIN ARLINA BINTI ARIFF

Independent Non-Executive Director

DATIN ARLINA BINTI ARIFF was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Agrobank on 30 August 2023.

Datin Arlina holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. She obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Quantitative Development Economics and a Master of Science in Quantitative Development Economics from the University of Warwick in Coventry, England. She also obtained a Masters in Islamic Finance Practice from INCEIF University.

Her professional journey commenced in 1985 in the Economics Department of Bank Negara Malaysia (“BNM”) where she served in various capacities up to 1997. In August 1997, she joined SJ Securities Sdn Bhd, serving as a Senior Economist and later as Chief Analyst until September 2000. Returning to BNM, she held key positions, including Deputy Director in the Monetary Analysis & Strategy Department, Economics Department, Director at the Human Capital Development Centre, and Director at LINK (Laman Informasi, Nasihat & Khidmat) and BNM Offices. Her tenure included her role as the Director of the Financial Inclusion Department, which she held from September 2000 until July 2022.

Currently, Datin Arlina is the Independent Non-Executive Director of PRG Holdings Berhad.
