Opening of Accounts

Eligibility

• Malaysian citizens and non-citizens residing in Malaysia
• Open to Muslims and non-Muslims
• Individuals and non-individuals

Types of Accounts
Individual Account:

• Individual – Aged 15 years and above
• Joint Account – Managed by groups

Non-individual Account:

• Firms, companies, organisations, associations and clubs

Period

• 1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months

Withdrawals

• Withdrawals can only be made at branches where the accounts are established
• No penalty for withdrawals made before the maturity period

Payment of Profit

• Profit rate 70:30 (Customer:Bank)
• To be paid on the date of maturity
• For savings of more than 12 months, payments will be made every 3 months
